These estimations are likely for the default Normal mode with Med or Max security at most. On Hardcore and especially Contagion mode, it takes more time.
Game's fine like it is for me.
And even though I don't obsess over the story content as much as some do, I feel it's story was good, well delivered, and not a soap opera like Dead Space 3's was. I don't mind some touchy story moments like TLoU and Days Gone had, but it wouldn't have fit here.
The story here is much more pure desolate, desperate survival horror. I got the game and DLC on the holiday half price sale, so the DLC was pretty cheap for me, and well worth it.
