Deluxe worth snagging while on sale atm for $20?

Yeah, i played this on PS5 and enjoyed it for what it was. 20 bucks is a really good price for this imo.

Also on the fence about buying the game. It looks good on the surface, but reviews have me doubting. But the sale is enticing, especially the deluxe bundle. I would have never thought of spending $70+ on this kind of game, but $20 seems a lot more reasonable.

So, to the owners of the game, is it worth it now?

Definetly yes, i bought it a 1 min ago.. the dlc cost right now 7€ and the basic edition is for 18€ and the deluxe has the dlc so its worth it.

It is worth for that price only if you have high/top tier PC.

Otherwise the game is gonna be laggy af and not really enjoyable.

For 20$ it's worth grabbing it.
I was on the fence too when i got it in the Winter sale, ended up enjoying it and getting 100% on it.

I bought deluxe version for 20€ and enjoyed it. Now going for my new game + run.

Most negative reviews was because of lags and bugs, now fixed. The rest of bad reviews came from people expecting new Dead space. While it is spiritual successor of that game with similar story, it had some flaws that got hardcore fans angry (for example, The Callisto protocol is way less scary). However, it's still fun to tear apart biophages with stun baton and the environment is really detailed, so 20€ is justified price.

Deluxe has all the extras and DLC, even the worthy ones. If you think you'll like this game it is indeed a good deal.

But if you are not too sure and strapped for cash just grab standard ed.

It is totally worthy for the right price (current offer), but to help you avoid an inconsistency I'll tell you this:

Want a more proper horror game? Play it on maximum security (difficulty)
Want it to be less opressive? Medium or below.
Don't try hardcore or contagion on the first run, they are very punishing.

Cap the framerate in settings to the one of your liking or need.

Isn't it sort of mandatory because it includes the games ending (from what I've been told)? It kind of rubbed me the wrong way when I saw the advertised price thinking 'oh sweet' then remembering I needed the Deluxe version for the finale and seeing the higher price.

The higher price of $2 more? Worth it, the ending point is a bummer but you get other content. $20 for a game that released barely a year ago is pretty crazy, so far I'm enjoying it and it looks amazing, able to get a steady 85 fps on medium or 60 fps or high/medium with ray tracing on. I can easily see why on release the technical problems, lack of the real ending and how supposedly short it is can make people negatively review this game for its price point
