Not by Denuvo itself, but by the devs fairly flawed implementation of it.
There was a few devs that somehow implemented it about as bad as is possible.
Most titles that used it, it made marginal difference.
Doom had it, never phased it.
It does have to go at some point though, only because to keep using it, the dev has to keep paying for it, and unless you are pulling in mountains of cash on a monthly basis, it makes little sense to continue paying for the service.
I dont think a lot of single player games need the continued protection after a certain point.
And you say that you understand why publishers use DRM, then you proceed by characterizing it as cancer.
So don't expect anyone to take your lot seriously when you spew heavy words like cancer, spyware or malware.
Denuvo is not free, ever. While you can limit it to about 5-8% by aggressive preloading so that despooling occurs in dram as much as possible but exe segmenting always has an impact, period.
