I'm playing on a 65inch LG C1 and I notice a difference BUT without some TV calibration changes you don't get deep blacks but I think that's by design.
Change gamma levels, black levels and contrast on the display and hope for the best. I ended up changing settings enough that it was a bit less gray but not so much that I couldn't see anything anymore.
The HDR implementation does definitely make brights pop much better and there's richer color but the black levels definitely seem artificially raised but I assume it's to let the player actually see.
I'm going to try one of the console versions soon so I'll have a good point of comparison.
Hopefully the console version uses HGIG so I know 100% for sure if it's the games implementation or just PC HDR support being very... Meh. Well windows 11 now has a proper hdr calibration tool that unfortunately refuses to install on Win10.
LG C2 OLED uhd 120hz. TV
THe game just looks "bad" like it's too bright in dark scenes. i play the original Dead Space and it looks fantastic.

Yes, the developer should fix the game, but at least on PC, we can do something ourselves (consoles have the same problem).
the game has a problem, black is not black and if you fool it somehow you lose a lot in the specular highlight.
You dont have to play in SDR. See my post above. It will give you fantastic HDR.
Its quite easy to fix, so its strange that the developer havnt fixet it yet. Maybe they dont even have an HDR capable display in their office???
