3/10 - The Sterling "Sad Space" Review

For the most part they are right, there's a lot this game gets wrong, like not having good world building, completely unexplained mental health fun and the fact it feels like a copy of Dead Space, but with the serial numbers (and awesome enemy design) filed off. And yeah, I do feel a bit let down by this game, I was expecting something as good as Dead Space 2 and got a janky retread that's a bit of a let down.

It's not entirely bad, in fact I'd call it a solid "B movie" style game, it's just lacking in the same polish and love that make DS and DS2 so re-playable. Reminds me a bit of DS3, but that actually has a slightly story and much better world building and doesn't have as janky combat. Nor enemies that look like vomit.

there dead on most saying same thing but problem most sites are stupid dont know math how it works so they give game 7/10 say it bad thats better then avg better then good sick of people destroying math using broken charts dont make sense if its avg game 5/10 not 7 ign and most are clearly uneducted.

i would say worse then bad the character has no moves at all he side deek for punches thats it no other moves no quick turn or roll side step plus no exploring it A to B thats it this game worst AAA game i ever played in my life ET was more fun on Atari 2600 im serious

Jim Sterling is still relevant? You know hes an actor that sensationalizes stuff to get views....Now that I think about it, its probably why he did it. Cause the release was a sh*t show.

I just read the review but I still hope we will get Jimpressions video about Callisto Protocol.

I reviewed the game after I finished it and rated it 5 out of 10 with exactly same critique points they made in the article. It is almost like we played the same game and were horrified how the game does not appreciate its player and how not fun it is to play. I was clearly a bit more lenient on the game because I liked certain part of it even if they were few and far apart. I also liked visual and audio spectacle the game provides and had a computer that could actually run it relatively fine. There is still something bothering me about Callisto Protocol, some desire for it to be good even if I know it is not true, which is a shame. I had high hope for Callisto Protocol to be good game but it is not.

Jim Sterling's a joke and always has been. This is the same 'critic' who gave Senua's Sacrifice a 0/10 because of a rare save game glitch (that was patched quickly by the devs) while ignoring everything else about the game. That's something I'd expect from your typical disgruntled Steam gamer, not someone who's supposed to be a voice for the gaming community. He could have reviewed the game properly while simply warning gamers of the glitch and/or dropped the score of the game - even temporarily, until the glitch was fixed - by a point or two, but to completely dismiss every other element of the game and score it a 0/10 over a bug? That's completely irresponsible. It's akin to a film critic giving a film a poor score because the projector at their screening was having problems.
