slow sludge, climb this ladder, squeeze through here, slowly open the containers on the wall (which in Dead Space they just open with a button press), slowly open a chest.
If they straight up removed some animations or at least sped them up,
sped up the pacing of the game, added a map so i don't backtrack in the wrong area thinking it's the story progressing area, to find out it was a room to explore, to then go back to that room to then go back to the story progressing area once i finish,
I'd ACTUALLY enjoy the game. But as it stands? A 5 or 6/10 at best for me.
That and ofc, better performance, and if possible, better melee combat.
I can't imagine speedruns of this game being very entertaining.
On top of that the combat just isn't that interesting and can be easily cheesed with grip.
screenshots, the whole nine LOL. Dude if you like the game that's fine,
that doesn't dismiss legitimate criticisms. It's not holding W, it's nothing BUT hold W.
I want more interaction, not a constant loop of animations & invisible loading screens.
There's a good game in there somewhere, but it needs work.
Crawling through vents and maintenance tunnels to access inaccessible areas was to be expected.
That's fine, but when they are long as hell and a slow crawl animation, you either speed up the crawling and/or make the vents shorter. You want a game to be fun, holding W for probably an hour or more in these sequences in a full playthrough is a bit much. You can always design it better.
I see your point.
I have not finished the game yet (just reached the dome with some kind of forest). I suppose you never get attacked in vents to spice things up ?
