except i didnt say that. i used melee in almost every encounter. it's just not gonna carry you through every fight, and it shouldn't.
definitely didn't wait to attack when i was playing
no you're reading into what i said. every fight ends in 1v1. a lot of em start 1v1. just because you cant 1v3 with melee doesn't mean the melee sucks.
trying to imagine kids crying on the resident evil forum because they can't knife down the lickers 1v3

That comparison just doesnt work since RE doesnt put an emphasis on melee combat, I'm sorry you seem to be unable to get both points.
i'm not sure what point you're even trying to make my guy. the melee was fine, and it is much more fleshed out than in most survival horror games. i had a lot of fun with it. maybe you should try adjusting your expectations of what a melee weapon should be capable of in a survival horror game.
