Ray Tracing with 3070 Ti
The stuttering is gone now so yay. But I wonder what your fps are when you are using Ray Tracing especially on 3070 Ti. Is it bugged or the GPU just can't handle it?

I played on 1440p. FSR on Quality (also tried performance) and a mix between medium and high settings. Everytime I turn on either of the RT settings, the FPS took a dip to 50. But when it's disabled, it went back to around 90.

It's not really a problem but I'm just wondering if anyone else have a mix and match settings that I can copy that can actually run in 60fps+.

FSR currently doesn't work properly and this game has no DLSS so without either of those, playing with RT will be a bad experience unless you settle for 40-50 FPS. Also if you enable RT, you will be CPU limited so ensure you have a beefy CPU to play with RT. It's just how this game works.

Really? So it doesn't matter if it's on or off?

I'm using 5700x overclocked and it's still on 50. So I guess it's a no go for now huh?

i have a 6800M on my laptop and FSR2 is working properly for AMD graphics cards. i'm getting between 15 to 40 more FPS (quality and performance mode repectively).

Yeah, even with RT cores, ray tracing is still extremely computationally expensive and the 30 series is only second generation RT cores. Performance on that front will get better with newer GPU releases, but cutting edge rendering features generally are computationally expensive.

The 4090 video card can't handle RT. even at 2k screen resolution

I don't think the 4090 has any issues with ray tracing in this game. Its our Cpu's. The usage on my 4090 hovers between 75 to 85% most of the time when RT is turned on ( 4k ). So I think you would get around 80 fps or more if not CPU limited. I am on a 5900x. If they could spread the load over more cores it would be great. The CPU bottleneck is also why FSR does nothing for us.

restart the game after turning on fsr.....gained 7 fps in balanced (52-59) after i did that but nothing improved if i didnt restart. same for a few other settings.

My 3080Ti doesn't work 100% all the time in this game either. My processor is i7 12700kf

50-80-90-99% the load on the GPU drops depending on the direction of the screen and in certain places.

Why you ray tracing anyway? It is crap and does not justify performance impact with the image quality it gives.

God of war and Mafia remake have best solution, which is based on software for reflections.

3070ti only has what 8gb of vram? dude youre boned. should have gotten a 6800xt which is like half price of that and better performance and 16gb of vram

Yup same thing. must be the lighting computation etc on the CPU.
