Please stop being a virtue signaller, people with actal epilepsy already know what triggers it and would research before a purchase if they are effected heavily.

I use to be epileptic in my early teens.

I actually agree, and thought that while playing. It flashes like crazy more than a couple times during the first few hours, more than most games I have seen recently.

whoa, hold on, don't you think that seeing a post like this could be the result of doing research?
Like is this not the information you are looking for when doing research??

The game has a warning...
Buckshot Dec 2, 2022 @ 8:21pm
There is literally a giant warning banner that you have to read and accept at the start of the game implying photosensitivity and seizure warning.

If you suffer such and skipped right past that, well... they warned you.

Every epilepsy patient is told that scrrens can emit flashing lights and that concerts, video games, rave, fireworks, are strongly not recommended

Right but understand you are not advocating for research, you are advocating for reading a prompt place right in front of you
Which teaches you about the outlay of what is in the game and asks you to accept it, so not only is it research as you have to read through it but you also are now saying you blindly accept everything that is given in video games.

If you could read you would not need to try to be some sort of hero in your delusional head especially when you are not epileptic and are likely highly inexperienced with it to begin with.

"we are fighting meningitis by raising money for medical research"

Research implies investigatory method, which includes finding sources on the internet. A post like this will show up in a web search. stumbling across a prompt when you open a game can hardly be called research.

So why would an epileptic person research to begin with? Use your head, they are diagnosed and given warnings all the time, but you can still research the internet and look up that bit at the beginning of the game as research too.

You lost, move along Zoomer.
Hell they are even warned about using a pool and driving vehicules which they cant do if they had a seizure in the past X months or if the dr deems their eegs too active

During routine eegs we use the two main form of stimuly for epilepsy. Hyperventilation and light stimulation. Sleep deprivation also increases the chances of a seizure as does alcohol and lot of other things. Patients are thoroughly explained what this disease entails when they are diagnosed.

Did you just insinuate that the act of paying attention to something briefly is research? If that's true then I can only imagine how many Americans can be coaches just from the sheer amount of attention spent watching football teaching them all of the plays.

Just a fair warning if this is a real post. If you have epilepsy I just wouldn't play video games.

It is formally teaching you something, it acts in the same way research does, to educate or add to your mind.

The only reason this other pleb is clinging so hard as he hates being wrong, like most Gen Z.

Brother, go reread your original post, i feel like you lost the thread here. Research is poor word choice here.

its not the same for every person. some people aren't even effected by the flashing lights.
