How to deal with those annoying, small enemies?
So, you have these leech-like creatures that just jump you without warning and take off a chunk of HP. Is there any way to prevent that crap?

Right. Most of the time they just execute the jumping animation before they are to be seen. Around corners, from opening crates or lockers - no button prompt, no time to actually react. Is it meant to be just a cheap shot?
