DualSense support?
I understand the PS5 version has DualSense features, but the PC version won't even display the correct icons for the controller, is there any workaround or fix?

I tried disabling steam input from properties which in some games enables haptic, but here it makes the controller to just not work at all.

I tried seeing if mine would work, but it looks like they haven't added that support just yet. Not sure as to why it isn't already in the game for PC. You do have to turn off controller support and plug the controller in to get the features to work on other games that have been on the PS5.

Oh really?

So for example to get adaptive triggers etc on PC for Spiderman my PS5 controller can't be connected via Bluetooth?

True dualsense support like ps5 always requires usb connection. Never worked wirelessly

Damn. Lets hope post support, but I doubt it...

So odd given the PS5 has no issues doing it via Bluetooth and you can update the controller on PC via USB.

Not the end of the world just odd choice when porting to PS5. Would have sold them a lot of extra PS5 controllers if it provided those features.

Yep, sadly it only works wired on PC to get those features.

This game seems to follow the traditional PC port method of only supporting Xbox controllers. It isn't impossible that it'll be added in the future, but I wouldn't keep my hopes up. It isn't a Sony published game which makes it incredibly unlikely for it to be added post launch as most games with it have it at day 1. There is no guarantee that the PC version will have haptics or trigger support regardless of it does on PS5. Again, hopefully we do get it.

Its not odd. PS5 has nothing to do with Steam/PC. Only the steam-api can make use of the "dualsense features" if wired.

That's not true, Death Stranding for example uses the DualSense features when the steam controller API is disabled
Revan Dec 3, 2022 @ 12:24pm
...im talking about STEAM-API not steam-input what you're reffering to.
To clearify that for you, steam-api basically means, you're using/running the game with Steam, period.
If you'd start a steam game with just the exe (if it doesnt have additonal drm/cp) it wont use the steam-api and thereforce would not have DualSense features.
Thats why you also need to add games from epic, etc. which have DualSense Feature support as a non-steam game, so the game is using the steam-api and you can have DualSense features.

For me they only work when using steam-api - you wanna tell me you have DualSense features when starting from xbox app or Epic!?

Some games on Epic store also support DualSense, do those use steam-api?

Steam-api is not required for DualSense features on PC.

Literally factually incorrect. If that were the case then Sony wouldn't require you to download firmware onto your computer to use the controller.
