Steam itself is more likely to give you trouble than Denuvo, especially on Steam Deck.
Glenn is a perfectionist, as seen in his documentary episodes, describing how everything must be done in certain ways to immerse the player. All of that talk, the work put into Callisto Protocol, is out the window with Denuvo. Upon release Denuvo will likely be cracked very soon. Pirates will be getting the better experience. Ask yourself, why do paying customers have to suffer the worse experience? Change that.
I'm a paying customer, I could easily refund if I don't want to deal with less, much like others who pre-ordered this game for the experience presented (before Denuvo was listed). But I'll just have to put up with it. THANKS.
Hahaha, i don't think so.
They know very well what they're doing with DRM, and they know how it punishes the purchaser more than the pirate.
They're gambling that they're game won't get pirated in months.
This was the first game in a looong time I have looked forward to play and ofc pay for since I agree that if you like the product you SHOULD pay up for it and support the developer so they might make new good games.
That sayd. I have never ever liked DRM`s. and I really hate Denuvo. Dying light as an example I demanded a refund after my PC game performance was buggy thanks to Denuvo. Did not know dying light 2 had Denuvo also. If I did I would ofc NEVER have bought the game and the way I found that out was during and overclock test on my then new computer. Denuvo in Dying Light 2 did alove only 5 activations a day and guess what happend to me the 6th time I tryed to boot up my bought game... Had to wait for the next day. Refund straight way.
I would have bought Callisto first day of release. But thx DRM Denuvo this game will then fall under my NEVER buy list... Until the day I can pick it up for 3 - 5 dollars max.
Take a look at God of War (a game that has sold millions of copys) no DRM.
Take Witcher 3. No DRM and still sold millions.
The DRM will ofc be broken anyone else that belives otherwise is stupid in my mind. Take Nvidia and the LHR block... yea that worked out great did it not? there are millions that wanna play this game out there in the world. All it takes is 1 to be smart enough (good odds if you ask me)
The day this game and any other game for that matter will remove the DRM I will ofc pay up for the game.
You strictly can't increase piracy. It is a strict term. It is either piracy or not piracy. However, piracy acts can be increased in number, if that's what you mean.
Are you paid by Denuvo or you are making a clown of yourself for free?
