• Retro Prisoner Character & Weapons Skin
Digital Deluxe Edition:
• Retro Prisoner Character & Weapons Skin
• Season Pass
Which basically means you might get juicy story expansions or a shallow horde survival mode.
Don't waste your money until you know what's in it. $20 bucks for a lootbox of dubious quality is silly. Even if you have to pay $5 more later, that's worth it if you actually like what's in it, and you might actually save money if you skip garbage stuff you don't care about.
and this is just standard procedure now.
Yeah, I member... had some really good memories with Timesplitters 2, Perfect Dark, Goldeneye, etc, before FPS basically became battlepass and/or lootboxx bottleroyales or whatever the heck CoD is these days.
It's aimed at gullible, impatient people.
It's aimed at the majority of gamers and works nearly 100% of the time, whatever you want to think. It's why companies do it. Look at how hard the rejection of what Diablo Immortal sounded off, yet they made billions off it anyway and they had "disgusted" streamers throw Blizzard multiple thousands, 100k in one case, to "show how bad this really is" lmao.
Likewise, despite all the stark negative hatred of the GTA Remastered trilogy, the FOMO forced people to buy the game just so they could throw up videos and social media posts saying shiz like "OMG I thought yall were joking but woow it really is so bad look at this omg why did I buy this," leading to Rockstar smugly saying the game made a return or its target sales goals or whatever depressing thing they said.
Most of humanity is objectively stupid, coupling that with targeted psychology in marketing and you literally have human sheep being fleeced and milked for the market. No insult there, just hard fact.
And because people are dumb enough to not worry about creeping inches as long as it's not an obvious sprint even if it covers the same distance, it's only going to get worse. That's literally how we got here in the first place.
It doesn't matter this isn't ps5... We can refund here if it's not worth it and usually if you refund a deluxe then buy regular you keep preorder bonuses and if you buy regular and it has bonuses you keep those too.
*Edit*
For the kinda person who reads words and can't make any kind of assumption or think critically I'm adding this final sentence...
It was just an example, it's not a statement of fact because I don't know what the bonuses are but I do understand the steam refund policy and you bringing it up that way is what makes no sense.
You get the same exact preorder bonuses for the normal edition and if you play more than 2 hours on the deluxe edition or keep it for longer than 2 weeks--long before we'll know everything that's in the expansion pass--you're stuck with it, no refunding.
Nothing you said makes any sense.
The irony of telling me to use my brain, lmao. My point is that the only reason you'd want the deluxe version is for the season pass, yes, but you'll be long beyond the refund window before we learn what's in it. So buying it and refunding it if it sucks makes zero sense.
Just get the regular edition and get the season pass later once you know what's in it. Even if you just want to milk preorder bonuses.
It's not a rant, either you're not saying what you mean, you don't know English which is looking like the real answer, or you just need to lay off the weed.
Dude it has nothing to do with knowing what's in the season pass! Wth is wrong with you?
It's about how steam handles preorder bonuses. It applies to this game and any other.
Ty for the free points btw. I'd give you a jester award but I'd actually feel bad because I think you legit just can't comprehend what I'm saying...
I keep agreeing with you about the preorder bonuses and pointing out that to do what you are literally suggesting to do doesn't require the deluxe edition, just the regular one.
You keep telling me that I don't understand what I'm literally agreeing with you on, lol.
This is what YOU said:
Bolding is mine. Refunding a deluxe edition then buying a regular one does absolutely nothing, because the preorder bonuses are exactly the same between them.
This really isn't a difficult concept, mate, but you're right, I really don't get what you're trying to say because what's coming out of your mouth is wrong.
Again, lay off the weed or learn English, thanks.
That wasn't me, but sure let me give you a jester for that previous point since doing the service of letting everyone know you'er a clown is worth it. Enjoy the free points, lad. I'm sure you'll pet it to good use in Valve's utterly pointless point shop and get yourself a nice background or avatar or other stupid shiz you'll never use.
Let me try not to roll my eyes here.
I know the bonuses are the same THATS NOT MY POINT.
Thanks for more free points. I know who awards them, I'm not Joe average over here.
Here let me simplify it even further....
If you buy a deluxe edition of a game and it has the same or different bonuses for pre-order then you play the game & you decide the deluxe edition isn't worth it and buy the regular version on sale down the road more often than not those preorder bonuses will still be there.
The same applies OBVIOUSLY to the regular version pre-order items when refunded and purchased later on sale or after bugs are fixed.
Now I know I didn't lay it out word for very specific word but I also didn't think 5 year olds were allowed on steam, in fact I'm pretty sure it's against the law but woe is me... I found one who can't take tiny various pieces of information, combine them in obvious wags and understand the overall message because I GENERALIZED due to said message applying to most titles.
I assumed any user should be able to infer how it could relate to this game themselves despite aforementioned generalization.
Now for the sake of everyone else PLEASE just stop and move on.
