Very strange bug
When I play on normal my defence towers simply wont shoot, no idea why... did I mess with some setting?

The UFO's or whatever come in, blow up my stuff and occasionally my towers will shoot them, but only if they're incredibly close. No idea why, never had this issue before.

I verified the files and stuff, not missing anything.

Not to insult your intelligence, but the obvious question is are they powered and have ammo?
Yeah, I've been playing this for years. No idea what is going on. They seriously don't move until the enemies are almost right on top of them. Never seen anything like it. I may just uninstall, but I don't want to lose my progress.

I have the same issue with laser towers, they link and everything but the beam doesn't show and they don't engage enemies on normal and sometimes also in other modes if I don't have the game full screened, its hard to enjoy it when the most depended on defense is so unreliable.
It works for you if it's full screened? I always have mine FS and it doesn't work even then.

Sometimes, not always its like 1 in 12 play throughs it works, sometimes upgrading missle silos makes their area ring vanish and they become a point blank weapon, I'd say it was mode or something, but it honestly just seems to be random, it does it in creative as well as in normal/survival/rush and you can't tell me I don't have enough energy/ammo in creative.
very strange. I've been playing this game since like 2009, and now all of a sudden it starts doing this? Must have been a bad update or something?

There are 2 solutions presented which can solve the problem - I'm using the forced Vsync myself in fullscreen mode and turrets again fire on normal speed!

Nvidia Control Panel - 3D Settings - Manage 3D settings - Program Settings.

Then select the game from the list and once selected scroll down on the feature list and set Vertical sync to ON.

Then just play fullscreen.
