Opinions on quests
So what do you all think?
I like the game but the quest suck ass, you can fail some just by waiting too long and most of them do not have any time indicator. No guide as to where you should look for many or NPCs just wont show up.
IE: 1 of the first quests to mark some signs in wolfs caves did fine on 1 character but forgot to finish on another. When I went back to the first town that NPC is no where to be scene no matter what time of day it is.
Many quests do no have any pointer of any kind and saying talk to "insert name" is a pain as now I have to remember every damn NPCs name I have spoke to and where they are.
Honestly if the devs are reading this please go and address this because I am sick of not being able to find who I am looking for and then failing.
1 quest for example is another plank in the wall, I had what I need and could not find the damn npc, knew where his farm was as I always found his damn wife but him na he was on vacation somewhere.

Honestly the quests so far is the only thing that I am annoyed about, fix this and it would be great.

Agreed. The quest system has held this game back.

Currently the devs are fixing the issue with multiplayer heroes being tied to save slot, and IMO thats a bigger issue. So thank you devs for that!

However I think both of these issues need to be seriously addressed:

- failing timed quests--with no indication that the quest is timed (minimum, double the time limits and clearly show a timer countdown, or remove the timer all together)

- no quest indicators for NPC's... I can see the value in not telling you were someone is who you're supposed to search for as part of the quest, but at least put quest markers or explinations of where the NPC's are that you need to talk with, that you've ALREADY TALKED WITH. Please!

Absolutely. I'm looking for Jerry to advance the story and because I have no idea where he was to begin with, I cannot for the life of me find him. NPC/quest indicators should be next up after the MP issue is resolved.

I concur on the timed missions sucking. Not just that they are timed per se, is that the time limit is sometimes ridiculous. For the fix the palisade mission for example I just took it and wandered a little bit to get a glimpse of the mainland, I wasn't even a FULL DAY when I go back and I failed, the guy already had it fixed. That is just bad design for me sorry.

Same with me, and i had a chart with a Timed Quest im my hand, i knew it was timed, i was going to solve it fast i could and i wander of sight and came back and quest was complete

I restarted the game since I was only a few hours in after realizing quests could be failed. Now I only accept a quest after checking a list of timed quests on some website.

I'm very disappointed with this game because i expected it to be "Gauntlet" style like the first part only to find a pseudo-open world with boring and unintuitive missions.

It took so much work to put a marker on the map for the missions?

This, some I feel are simply scripted to happen at certain times in the game so it doesn't matter if you never accept them, I took a long time on hammer island in one playthrough and by the time I got to the capital sewers, the well was unblocked so I was never even offered the quest to fix it, much less fail it.

I enjoy (ed) it. Makes me remember the old days of rpg's not showing you where to go but just explaining it and not always in great detail.... But I'm old. So...Yeh.

That completely sucks, I fear I might have lost some other ones too and never even realized they were there. Seems like such an oversight from the devs (despite me liking the franchise) , specially with the low time to finnish them.
I'm a player whilikes to go for completion of everything I can for my first characters and at this point... honestly I think I 'm gonna have to swallow and admit I'm going to loose content because of these decisitions, my characters it's too far on to restart now, but now I'm gonna be playing all paranoid the whole time thinking I'm loosing stuff to do.
