they can't be applied mid run.
having mods enable mid run would, for some mods certainly, break the game. States would get messed up, flags reset, it would basically break your save, and there's no way currently to determine between mods that would and wouldn't do that.
So to keep your playthroughs safe, they can only be selected at the start of a run. Hope that's not too frustrating. I'm sure it probably is at the moment as mods are being added and people are still playing through but as time goes on, all the content will be there at the start of the game for people.
i.e. if you try to convert a save to a save with mods, it copies the existing save and has to be renamed? With a warning or sign then test and see how broken it is?
For example I would like to add the Fast Travel mod to an existing save, which I'm sure others would like to as well, and that should be relatively safe to add mid game.
I'll send a $20 tip or free pizza to the first dev to implement this change ^_^
So why bother allowing mods...I mean it seems like the game is pretty long that is a terrible design IMHO...how is this an issue with this game but not HoH...I mean it would be nice if the character is saved if you want to do another scenario with same character that you can. I mean starting a new character every time so new cool mods come out...bad idea.
Don't get me wrong game is fun, but with decisions like this might be the last time i support you.
Your point is...
i agree the mods are kinda pointless, i want want to enjoy a fair adventure with people...
the whole idea about mod is like they made a game that allows mods, so game dev's job is done, and i had a feeling like "if you want new game contents, use a mod, shut up, good bye!" that kind of thing
man you have got to be kidding me.
> Hope that's not too frustrating.
its extremely frustrating. I have to reset any progress ive made just to install a mod?
