Enchanting Guide...
So... Can someone explain to me how this work?
It asks a gear, a component, a rune thingy, and money.
When I do, it upgrades my gear, use the rune and money, but don't spend the component.

Is there a way to know what can come in the gear?
Are the enchants based on gear or general?
Is there a way to choose which enchant will be?

This perplexes me as well. I *think* that certain items use a component, and other items use runes. It would be nice to know for sure though.

(Or, alternatively, you enchant components using runes as well? I dunno.)

It's the most confusing enchant system I've seen. I don't understand half of how it works but I think if you choose specific materials (chipped gems, etc) to go with the runes then it gives a particular attribute as opposed to being random. The problem is that most of the time I enchant something it never even has the option to pick a material to use other than the runes; it's just all greyed out with no explanation of why, even though I have plenty of the materials.

It says the component is used to add a pre-determined enchant, but what is it?
I notice that some items can and can't use some components.
For example, I can't use gems to pre-determinate an enchant for gloves, but I can with belts.

Not all gear accept all components.
I tested here... I can't use gems on gloves,
but I can use gems on belts.
So... This means you don't have the specific component (or quantity) for that specific item.

Yeah, I get that, but the game doesn't tell me what components it does take, so I have no idea what I'm supposed to go find/loot/buy.

Look the link I just send.
There's the list of all components with all gears and effects.

That's the full list? Huh, I was expecting more than just damage or defense stats. Where's the plus mana regen or plus crit chance?
My dreams of stacking crit chance on all my items is crushed :steamsad:
Edit: oh, there is a mana leech effect, but the item for it isn't filled in yet :/
Edit 2: unless it means that the one component has multiple effects depending on the equipment piece. In that case, how do you actually acquire ectoplasm because I've only had 1 dop and I've cleared the entire floor of ghosts.

I'm playing as ranger, I was expecting being able to upgrade my item to have +1 Wolf.

All items require runes.
Components add a predetermined effect to the item. This effect can be different for different items. (boot will get x where as a helmet will get y from the same component.)
Not all components work on all items.

With out a component you will get a random enchantment. Some enchantments may only be abtanable by random.

I have not seen a guide to what components do what and have for now way to figure it out other then trying them out.
