Destroy/remove buildings?

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to destroy or remove buildings.

Bottom right HUD buttons. In the same section as gathering metal, stone and lumber. One of the buttons is Demolish ;)

I got the same problem, indeed it's not intuitive.

I have found that you need to select the whole building footprint (while in Build grid) and then select Demolish

Ok the dam button is right there hours later. Ok 1st click on far right button. Axes… then 2nd from left is demolish. It has a house with a hammer chisel on it. How stupid am we
