Sounds like we're from the same era. Anno was my jam. As was the very first stronghold. Didn't like crusaders as much but that was purely because of the setting, i'm not a big desert guy. Fantastic games.
This convinced me even more, thanks so much for making a game in a franchise that I wish saw more exposure!
Hey there! Wasn't trying to offend anyone! I think Banished is an amazing game and any "clone" of it is definitely going to be one of my top wanted games! Thanks for letting me know though, I'll try and steer away from using clone in such a context again.
Anyway I agree; calling something a clone is usually derogatory, especially when you add in the phrase "asset rip."
No problem! I always try to keep things calm and civil, my original wording for the topic might have been a bit harsh though. I was high when I made it so you can't really blame me lol. Anyways, is there a discord for the community so far, or is that going to be coming at all?
Yeah you've got a point, I believe this message might add some clarity as to the naming of the topic. Definitely should've gone with some less derogatory terms lol
Discord? Sure. This link should take you there:

Thanks a bunch!
After ~2 hours of play I can tell you already that some elements are definitely deeper than Banished.
It's alright man, maybe I was just being a little sensitive to it haha, but as someone said it's usually used in a negative context so maybe that's why I assumed wrongly, but it's no big deal!
But it's a great game, love it so far.
