There's nothing to do with signals. On the screenshot I'm using presignals. I did try to setup with path signals- no luck- trains behave exactly same.
I think it's pathing problem. I can't manage to fix it. May be I should download something or set in settings I don't know.
I think there could be some welcome pack for newcomers to download. Because when I check downloadable content or settings - I'm lost. Too much stuff for amateur starter :)
Though they make it look more complex than it actually is.
I use only path signals. On a station terminus, on the tracks right next to the platforms, I use the type of path signal that can be passed from the back, and have them face the opposite direction from where the trains come in - For some reason this works, trains will queue.
I'll post screenshots later when I have more time.
I'll try
Edit:
It's working. My bad - wrong signal on return track
Managed to sort path signals as well

Pre-signals (Entry/Exit/Combo) hark back from an earlier era of OpenTTD/TTD Patch, before one-way path based signalling was implemented. They're still useful for more complex layouts (see the wiki), but I like to keep things simple, and path signals do the job.
The vanilla signals really only exist in OpenTTD for old savegame compatibility, and were the only signal you could build in the original Transport Tycoon Deluxe. They're pretty much useless.

Or you can try to avoid conflict between entering and exiting trains in this way
