Game Editor a Crutch?
The game editor is interesting. Really is coming together.

However... The most important and best use of it I have seen and heard of. Is to use it to modify current game to your benefit. It is somewhat of a "crutch" being used to mask bugs, or improve your game situation.

In fact, I wish there was a way to lock out the editor from a game. In some lazy clicking I unfortunately opened game editor. And I saw a bunch of systems within fuel range that had "money." Money money money...

It's a spoiler! And once you look at it once in your current game, well the mystery and surprise is ruined.

Just an opinion and suggestion. How do others use or not use the game editor?

I'm sorry for your experience being ruined by cheating.

... Hmm.

To me, it is a tool to fix broken things, and also the ultimate sandbox toy.

game editor only gets activated/used if player chooses so. Should not affect players choosing not to use it.

I use it to get rid of independent colonies, since there is no ingame option, and trying to mod this game is a nightmare.

It's a tool to help make the game more enjoyable for the player. Tweak as much as you like or not at all, your choice.
As for it's use; I use it to equal out the bonuses the AI gets on harder difficulties.

I never use it unless there is a bug, and then only to fix said bug.

Never used it. Looks to be a great feature if you need it. No requirement for a lock out. Already has one. The player. It’s called self control. Developers don’t waste time on providing a lockout

Props to the dev team for building an in-house editor. Don’t trust trainers, and mods get broken with every patch/update. Thank you!
