Delta Force series
I was debating on whether to get this game or the Delta Force series of games this current summer sale. I ended up getting the Novalogic Everything Pack for $13.99 which includes the Delta Force series and the Flight Sim series of games as well for a total of 15 games. The Delta Force Blackhawk down games especially just by themselves are comparable to Ghost Recon and are more reasonably priced compared to Ghost Recon as well as having better graphics. They still have an active multiplayer playerbase as well even today.

Delta Force is more arcadey and very straight forward. Just run around and shoot enemies with one shot. Ghost Recon is an actual tactical game and requires planning and tactics. You cant exactly just run around shooting endless enemies. Delta Force you just run around, shoot stuff, blow stuff up.

Does that apply for all the 8 games in the Delta Force series? How do their single player campaigns compare? I ended up getting the Novalogic bundle this time because it contained 8 Delta Force games plus some flight sims I was interested in.

As for tactical games, I do have Rainbow Six 3 Gold on Uplay for that.

You've probably already made a decision, but I had endless fun as a kid playing Delta Force Xtreme (or maybe Xtreme 2, can't recall now, I feel old, kill me), and the SP was really fun, especially with some of the zanier missions or ones involving vehicles. I know some modded missions were tons of fun to play in because of all the vehicle driving. The knife-only fights online were also great. Wasn't a lot of substance to it beyond that, but flying a helicopter over enemy lines and parachuting down to eff some people up was great. I'd say it was a more rewarding PvP experience overall.

But it depends on what you're going for. I never play those games anymore but still play GR all the time and still make mods for it because it's so rich and detailed and atmospheric and DAMN it's a good game. GR1 is the only one in the series worth getting IMO though. If you want to play tactical-oriented SP with some longer-range engagements or do co-op, I'd highly recommend GR. If you want a more arcade-y vehicle-employed experience, then go with DF. You mention that you've got an R6 game for the tacticoolz, but GR1 is a totally different animal.
