Troubleshooting - black screen/no hands/game won't start/performance

Black screen/no hands/game won't start

A. Very important - if you play using SteamVR, never launch SteamVR without a headset connected to the computer.

B. If you use the Meta headset, we recommend not using SteamVR.

C. If the game doesn't launch correctly on Oculus/Meta headset - follow this tutorial:

1. Open Meta Quest Link app on your PC.
   
2. Click "Settings"
   
3. Click "General"
   
4. Find "OpenXR Runtime" and click "Set Meta Quest Link as active OpenXR Runtime"

D. Virtual Desktop Fix - In the “Options” change OpenXR Runtime to “VDXR”.

Performance

A. SteamVR Auto-Resolution fix

1. Launch SteamVR with your headset connected.
   
2. Go to "Settings"
   
3. In "General" change "Render Resolution" to "Custom" and set 100%.

B. Quest 2 performance fix - If you're playing without SteamVR, there's a chance your Quest 2 is set to the Quest 3 resolution. In the Meta Quest Link app on PC, you should change the render resolution to x0,8-x0,9.
