taven dlc is a nice change of pace
i dont have pits
invasion looks cool but ive yet to start it so maybe someone else who has started it can better sell it
I like it because it is immersive, you interract to some degree with the locals, you can learn new recipes and the passive income is great on the long run, especially if you go for a large mercenary company like myself.
Honestly, agreed. It shouldn't be a DLC or at the very least not priced as it was.
Having the possibility to open more taverns would have been a good way to intertwine with the Wealth path in the game, maybe giving us bonuses to increase income, add policies to the taverns and so on and so forth.
Also, it's ridicolous that we do not get to rest at OUR OWN TAVERN for free as the owners! It's bloody idiotic!
The tavern dlc is less of a management but more of a mini-game dlc. It's very simple and will just demand only a few mins every few hrs. So no big deal if you ask me. It's really just a nice-to-have. Don't expect it to change or influence the game for better or worse in any possible way.
I bought base game, tavern and pirates for 40€ and it was ok deal and I still even havent seen Pirates content* after 50 hours. It's end game stuff in region locked mode.
*I saw the ship though, LOL
The Tavern dlc is something you interact with only after your party "rests" which happens maybe every 30-120 minutes or so of real time (depending on your party buffs and what you are doing, i.e. running across country or doing numerous back to back fights). In this way, it adds (IMO) a nice change of pace to the game, and gives you something other than your base-camp to build, organize, and tinker with. I really enjoyed it, but I recognize that its value might not be as high for others who don't enjoy the building/organizing aspect as much as I do.
The PIts dlc adds about 25 unique fights (on normal & brutal mode, so 50 fights) assuming you win each fight on the first try. If you enjoy "puzzle" fights, they're pretty fun, and they add *some* really good items to the game, and a bunch of useless items. I bout this one on heavy sale, and felt okay about it because this is one of my favorite games. I can't really recommend this one at/near full price though. If you love the game, though, it adds some fun stuff.
And all of this extra content is merged with the main campaign or it's more like expansions to enjoy after you finish the main games?
TLDR: it's all merged, and you can play any of it in any order (unless you play Region-locked mode, and then you have to progress through regions in a set order).
The expansion dlc's just make the open world bigger with more stuff to do, letting you travel to new places with your mercenary company. It's all melded together.
Thank you.
