Runes & Codices

Anyone know what they do or how to utilize them? Just discovered my first rune (Rune of Building) - it appears under the "Runes & Codices" tab of the compendium, to the right of the "Apothecary Table" tab.
I don't see any explanation for what it does though. Just says I've furthered my knowledge of the runes of the ancients. This rune symbolizes the word "Building"...

Is there some perk or something to these runes? It's totally possible it's for upcoming content that's not available yet... I'm just making sure I haven't missed something I should be doing on my end

When you know the right runes, you can use the lecturn to decipher certain things. I found 2 of the things in the ancient ruins but I didn't have both runes to decipher them.
