In all honesty, I'm just greatly disappointed that truly larger maps were not brought to the game as the developer said he would. He did increase the map size a little bit, but stated he was working on increasing it even more so. Apparently, this must be too difficult because nothing has been said about it since, and no he wants to move onto other projects.
In my opinion this is truly what this game needed. MUCH LARGER MAPS! I want to be able to unleash my creatvity with unique tavern designs. I would like to have enough space to create outside seating areas without sacrificing building design/space. It's a shame he never truly followed through with these plans.

The developer clearly stated that the new update will be released approximately in January 2023 (or maybe later).
Exactly--I just bought this game and I started to have a bit of fun, felt like it had a lot of potential and when to go check out what the dev had in store, only to find out he packed it in---the game is just over a year old and the dev is already over it and moving on to another project? If this is how much effort he plans to put into his games before he decides to move on to the next thing without putting in the effort to support the game that people already spent money on, why would I ever want to spend money on one of his future games.
"One more reason why I plan on slowly moving away from Tavern Master is that it became too hard to make new features without breaking the old ones. Really important thing for me was to never break save files with a new update and that becomes a limitation of what I can do. I have read all of your suggestions, feedback, all messages on discord and every review, positive and negative, and I compiled all that in a document that I will use for future games in the same genre as Tavern Master "
Dev is moving away because of technical limitations (whether due to the system they're using or their own skills, the end result is the same). There are only so many changes they can make to the game without breaking save files/existing features. The next game they make, in their own words, will make use of suggestions and feedback from this game.
Maybe read what the devs have to say before going on the attack and making yourselves look like idiots.
but I want to add that - afaik - there are no devs - there is only ONE dev - single person!
To create such a project all alone is really something
