For example 1 waitress will pick up 8 drinks, drop 3 at the far left of the tavern, walk all the way to the other side of the tavern to drop 2, then walk all the way back to the far left of the tavern to drop 1 drink, to finish walking again all the way to the other side to drop last drinks. All my waitresses do that and it got too frustrating that I stopped playing. It's a good game but i think i'll wait for this to be fixed before playing it again.
Aside of that, i think the wages/mood mechanic should be reworked because i keep reading that the current meta is to just fire the staff when they start costing too much and hire low staff again, continuously. Maybe there should be some loyalty stats or some tweak to the way the mood/wage is done so we don't have to fire/hire non-stop, i like to have a stable team but profits comes first :D
I'm afraid I couldn't tell you how to replicate the bug, as it seems to happen at random.
The band that plays... the first player his hands are not on the strings of his guitar. One hand is the other is not. The fourth player, his drumsticks don't actually hit the drum. Not a huge priority, but its something I noticed.
- Game caps maximum patrons per day at 750. I have seating enough for at least 1000 per day, but cannot serve that many as the game caps the value at 750. My current true number per day is 770... after raising the prices like 12 times.
- It is not clear on how to raise the star value or price per night for hotel rooms. I have two rooms, both with a 4star bed, a 3star dresser, and decorations totalling about 1800 gold each, and the rooms are only 3 stars and worth 110 gold per day.
I mention this because, when I only had 50 gold of decorations, a 3 star bed and a 2star dresser, the room was worth 100 gold then. I don't really feel that all my investment into making the room look nice is only worth an extra 10 gold per night.
- The Free Paintings are listed as 2x1 in size, but are significantly larger than 2x1 compared to the normally purchased ones. There are at least 4x3 in size.
- Idle researchers, ones that have no research to do, are a waste of money. If they could do cleaning duties that would really help. But right now, its better to just fire them, and then rehire new ones when research comes available that requires research data.
For the star value - you have to enter the hotel mode (clicking on the button with a bed) and then go to the room you want to improve and click the gray marker. It will open a menu telling you what you need to do for more stars and you will be able to change the price :)
For free paintings issue - it will be fixed :)
For the researchers I will see what to do. When you are not doing a research they generate money
- Carpet cannot be placed into a archway (prob because game considers it a wall even if person can walk through it.)
- Torches/lanterns cannot be placed outside next to the door. It's aesthetic thing, torches next to entrance to a tavern. Yes it's outside the tavern but then again, more customers when they can actually see the door where they can enter :D
Well "forgot" is maybe the wrong word, but quests like "get meal to 2/3/4 stars" just slow you down and you have to wait. Further I had to look up here how to get more stars for hotelrooms (which is also a quest) because it is not mentioned in the game. By locking the "smoked ham" recipe after elite chef reward it feels slow to get to the next event type (vikings). But maybe I really should focus more on the quests. STill I would enjoy creating my hotel floor on the second floor a lot more than working towards quests ;) Also you have to do a lot of research (bulbs) for the research steps before "additional floor". But you don't have the room for good hotel rooms and scribe desks and 160 seats for the executioner event. And so I'm sitting on my 60k gold and 30k prestige and wait.
But this is pretty much the only negative point I found so far! I love it. Sadly i will play more Battlefield right now but after that I definetly will be back for my lovely Tavern "The Golden Duck"
It just gives convenience, for when you make way too much gold per day, and so have plenty left over after paying wages.
Figured I'd add to this as well! It's not enough to stop me from enjoying the game, but as a waitress and barista myself IRL, this isn't how waiting tables works. You'd normally grab orders from one table at a time in order of arrival but on busy periods check back with the table waiting longest, so what I believe is the intended behaviour is to serve those waiting longest, but it only works if you're serving everybody on that table at once. So in terms of pathing if a waitress is going to take a pile of 8 drinks and pass other tables by which are waiting for some of those drinks, you get issues like a 70 second wait between picking up the tray and the customer leaving despite the waitress being on the same floor in the right room. I'd recommend seating customers table-by-table rather than "any free seat" if you want to continue to have them served by arrival time, and serve them by table rather than by seat or customer number, so any table with a near-rage-quitting customer should get all their drinks made and served faster? (Gives a reason to use all those Long Tables too!) Another solution might be to further refine areas of serving so you can assign waitresses, etc, to serve specific rooms / regions as opposed to specific floors. You could have a separate shop-type menu to paint areas of flooring in different hues for different region names, A B C etc.
This sounds like the same bug I've found, where the game erases all actions that day and then sets the timer to day's end, but without the erasure. Again day's start is best!
