Why cant i place two chairs at each side of a normal table?

if a table seats 4 but the single person chairs take up 3 squares instead of the two they should and a bench takes up 4 squares, how am i suppose to get more points for less

Single person chair takes 2 squares. 2 Person sofa takes 3 squares. The variants are about prestige.

On tables on another side you have table for 4 that take 2x6 squares, a small table that take 2x2 squares for 2 people and 2 types of long table: The wooden one can take 8 people and the one with the decoratives can take 10 people (4 sofas and 2 chais)
