What does the "Tip" stat do for waitresses?

I can infer the other stats well enough, but the "Tip" stat doesn't make sense to me. Are the waitresses getting extra money? If so, does it affect their mood? I feel a little tool-tip for the stats would be a good addition in an update in the future.

They get extra money from customers. It doesnt affect their mood, it's just extra gold.

Depending on the level of your bar its either the most important stat (when starting out) or the least important stat (when you are the richest tavern master ever)

Why? We're paying THEIR wages, isn't over 50++ per day not enough for them? Aren't THEY the ones being greedy they suffer from morale decay and you can either pay them or let them go? Can't we really feel sorry for them by paying TWICE or more what they're asking for? What's the difference between ten dollars an hour if we want to give them twenty? Where's their dental plan, English people have horrid teeth!

Heaven forbid they unionize and go on strike. I guess there's sympathy we're corporate greed a-holes and there should be more daft Constitutional peasants in-game preaching equality and all that in a Medieval-setting.
