It would be good to opt out of EAC and leaderboards since the game did not have EC or leaderboards when i first bought it and i play for single player experience
Hotfix "Pit of the Damned" is currently available on Steam!
- Fixed a bug that prevented access to the Mausoleum
- Fixed a bug that prevented unlocking the achievement for defeating the Emperor without - taking damage
- Fixed a bug that prevented you from getting the "Infinite Gems" achievement
- Fixed bug that reset control mapping
- Fixed the feint attack of "Edge of the Master", which did not affect some enemies in "Pit of - the Damned"
Regarding the EAC issues, they're also fixed and should not be a problem anymore!
Thanks a lot for your patience and your support :)
EDIT: The other problems I mention in the topic (FPS drop in that zone and visual effects bugged) are still persisting as well.
EDIT: Decided to start it up and at least see if the crashes are gone. They're not resolved, and I still cannot play the game at all. When I load my save from the Main Menu, the loading animation plays for about a minute before the game just crashes. Validating the game files does not help.
Anyway, I still have glitches on visual effects (specially with smoke and clouds) and heavy FPS drop in a couple of zones. Like I said, I didn't have this issues before the DLC update.
If you have EAC installed in order to Block Cheater in a multiplayer games, yes that do make sense. HOWEVER , this is just a SINGLE PLAYER GAME , why would we compete in a freaking SINGLE PLAYER GAME?
Atleast make a seperate mod if we can choose to panticipate in the Leaderboard or not, Who Cares for Leaderboard beside some Youtubers? And Let Be Honest, Youtubers dont even care, they just wanna show people how they do this stuffs, that stuffs.
The way that the devs slipped EAC into this single-player game is really killing my enthusiasm for buying future games by these devs because I'm afraid they'll do the same for their future releases too.
While this game (i would say) have small amount of Playerbase , have EAC install just because the Devs think Leaderboard is so important in a SINGLE PLAYER GAME?
Pls, have some sense and remove EAC or make it Optional
People that are serious about speedrunning are not even going to use the in-game leaderboard.
EAC also prevents being able to run the game in a VM, which means it's not possible to play it with a cloud service. At the same time, circunventing this is very easy if you run a VM locally (it's possible to configure the VM in a way that's undetectable, at a performance cost), so at the end of the day it doesn't prevent the kind of cheating used in a speedrunning game: using a macro to run the level.
I honestly dont mind it but i also play(ed) 2 other games that use easy anti cheat so its been there for me anyways.
I know there are single player games where people do wish there was an anti cheat or at least someone actively looking at the leader boards like Neon White.
I feel like there was good intentions but at the end of the day someone is going to have a problem.
tl;dr, we need a choice when it comes to EAC/leaderboard participation and the option to opt out entirely.
I'll also note that the devs definitely lost a Summum sale thanks to this whole EAC debacle because it changed my mind and made me decide to not buy it during the discount promo this past week, and I probably won't be convinced to buy Summum until it's possible to play single-player Noctis without EAC enabled. Summum has piqued my interest, but there's no way I'm going to risk getting burned again by the devs deciding to add EAC because they think Summum also needs leaderboards for some reason.

=> and this is since Game Released, Look at this chart and you tell me there's 2k+ ppls going for leaderboard?
and Tbh those who care for speedrunning will always post a youtube video about it (show how they did it), not through somesort of LeaderBoard
Also the leader boards show at least 399 people above me and I wouldnt doubt that number doesnt include the console leader boards. When adding all platforms up 2k isnt far fetched but I admit the number is probably closer to 1500.
And yes console users dont have to worry about easy anti cheat but my point was more people care about getting a decent time than people think.
