I rolled back driver and the problem were solved.
I don't have this bug on newest driver but if you do, change to previous driver.
You should delete this folder too. It only contains cache files and nothing else and won't harm the game in any way. 2042 will just start to cache from scratch again.
The cache may cause some performance issues or mini stuttering over time.

Thanks for the reply, i will try that and let you know how it goes, also i am thinking of upgrading to windows 11, cuz its just better at gaming, mayb the drivers as u mentioned have minimal support for win 10.
Your welcome. I will use Windows 10 as long as possible.
The only thing i want in Win 11 is DirectStorage, but not many games supports it.
Anyway. Newest driver isn't always the best to use for games.
In the past i had to change to a older driver a few times.
I use to think that aswell, that i will use win 10, but looking at the gaming performance of win 11, its really better than windows 10, for some reason win 11 emphasizes more on gpu when in game, and it should be like that.
Really it does? I didnt know that, but isnt denuvo used for protection only against cracking? Or am i wrong?
Yes, which makes no sense in an online only game.
It makes no sense, but they probably use it as a extra security to prevent modding and decrease amount of cheaters.
Kiiinda, Denuvo isn't just to protect against piracy, its an "Anti Tamper" software.
Denuvo and the EA anticheat is the reason why you can't go into task manager and set the .exe to higher priority or change how many cores it utilises.
Okay so i have an update, i upgraded to windows 11, and rolled back my Nvidia drivers, the GPU usage is perfect now 99-100% and the temps are fine. But the only problem left now is the CPU usage its between 55-65% mostly, but the CPU temp is crazy 88-90° . That is bugging me still, i use a liquid cooler which i know is okay for my processor.
That's great. There is some settings you can change in game to make it less demanding.
- If you have Ray Tracing enabled, disable it as it increases CPU usage. (Almost at bottom of video settings)
RT in this game improve reflections, especially on the ground and vehicles, but it will also cause higher CPU usage.
- Set shadows to Medium.
- Medium settings in general still looks good in this game. (I use medium).
I have RTX 3070 and Ryzen 9 5900X CPU and 32.GB RAM and use these settings at native 1440p with DLSS disabled.
- ~50% CPU usage. 40% when i degraded FPS to max 60 FPS for fun.
- Frame rate around 100 FPS without DLSS.
I haven't tried with DLSS enabled as i prefer native resolution as much as possible.
Yes i have already disabled RT, there is just one more thing, the game is so poorly optimized, i came across something, the game uses AVX technology, thats y it is putting load on the cpu and increasing the temps, so i tried setting the AVX offset to 2 in the bios, and it helped a little in temps, but it wasn't significant. Also the game uses CPU for frame generation, i mean who the f does that?, if you put your refresh rate to the highest the cpu temp will go up because the cpu starts producing frames. If you put the refresh rate to 60 the cpu temps become perfect at 56-60° . So this is what is happening in this game. The game is just so unoptimized.
They sure did some weird things with game engine.
My CPU is running at around 79C, but it's normal on my nearly 4 year old CPU, but according to AMD there is no problem if the CPU is running at 90C all day.
At 105 degrees it's when things can happen.
If you think it's badly optimized now, you should have seen the release version which performed bad at any setting on top of low end graphics with Ultra setting and other broken things.
As good as everything were upgraded since release including several of the maps.
They did some weird things with their aged game engine as the menu itself also have high CPU usage...

At 105C it's when things can happen. It's safe up to 100C.
I have never reached more than 90C even with stresstest running all 12 cores at 100%.
