I FIX MY CPU LOAD WITH THIS

Got a i7 10700

I create a user.cfg in game dir with in it those lines:

Thread.ProcessorCount 8
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 16

Just to make things easier for everyone needing help.

Thread.ProcessorCount X
Thread.MaxProcessorCount X

Open steam library and right click Battlefield 2042 then click properties.
From there go to Local Files and click Browse to open installation folder.
Right click in folder and create a new text document then open the text document.
Copy and paste the above 2 command lines into the text document.
Change the X values to the appropriate settings for your CPU (See Below)
Click file then Save As and rename to user.cfg
MAKE SURE YOU CHANGE THE FILE TYPE FROM TEXT DOCUMENT TO ALL FILES OR IT WONT WORK!

To figure out what setting you need to use look up your CPU and figure out how many threads you have. A good rule of thumb is to always save around 25% for other tasks.

Example: 8 Core CPU with 16 Threads
16 x .25 = 4 You need to reserve 4 threads for other tasks so 16 - 4 = 12
Your settings are

Thread.ProcessorCount 12
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 12

This works for Origin too just find battlefield in your origin directory.

Sadly it hasn't improved for me at allm still 100% cpu
i5-7600k and 1070.

I get an average of 70fps but everything just feels so delayed in movement, crazy how it's a year later and it's still as bad as it was at launch.

excatly man i too get 60 fps but still feels laggy like moving little bit in slow motion ... thought it was due to bad internet speed but it was about 5 mBps ...

This "trick" doesn't do anything. The game ignores that file.

I tried 10 cores and it till had issues, it didn't calm down until I got down to 8.

Wrong.
If you input the max threads commands in user.cfg, you can verify if they're working with the drawscreeninfo 1 command in game.

limit threads to 8 and there's a guide on how to make a user.cfg in Guides my man.

it's absolutely not, you can verify for yourself if the thread limit works with the drawscreeninfo 1 command in game.

i have tried it, and there is zero difference. the game will automatically use all available cores.
