I'm not an i d I o t , it's not working , as well as my screen resolution , It's not saveing after I queit the game .
Before opening the Windows virtual machine, go into Parallels settings and turn off sharing between the Windows and Mac OS file systems. This has fixed the problem for me. Good luck to others who are using non-standard save locations :-\
! - Be sure to close uplay entirely before starting the process below. This may require exiting the application from the system tray in the lower right hand corner of the task bar by right clicking and choosing exit. - !
1. Navigate to the Save folder.
2. Backup the contents of the folder.
3. Delete the contents of this folder.
4. Restart Uplay checking to be sure cloud saves are enabled.
5. Your cloud save will be downloaded at game start.
6. If your progress is there, then the cloud save was not overwritten.
The cloud servers check file information when syncing and will update to the latest used profile. This information is synced to the cloud upon closing your game. If your game is not restored following the steps above, then the cloud save was overwritten upon exit from the previously created new save.
In this case, you will need to start a new game.
To prevent automatic overwrite, I suggest the following:
Disable Cloud Save Synchronization:
1. Start by launching the Uplay PC client (Start -> Programs -> Ubisoft -> Uplay).
2. Click the menu icon in the top left hand corner of the window.
3. Uncheck "Enable Cloud Save Synchronization for supported games."
By doing this, you will use only your local saves moving forward. If you wish to backup a save, you can return to this setting, and check Enable Cloud Save Synchronization again to allow the overwrite, then turn it back off to prevent automatic updates. Note: You will need to remember to manually update your cloud save.
I also recommend that you use a third-party game save manager such as GameSave Manager in case the issue reoccurs:
http://www.gamesave-manager.com/
We also recommend running your game as an administrator.
Please follow the steps below to run the game as an administrator.
1. Navigate to the executable files for the game on the hard drive.
2. Right-click on the executable file and select to Run as Administrator.
Thank you so much, this finally solved my problem!
I was struggling with this for a few days, and the advice of other guy for macos made me think of what might have caused that on Windows. I have eventually found a solution:
If you're using Windows 10, you need to DISABLE Documents folder sync with OneDrive.
Select the OneDrive (white or blue cloud) icon in the Windows notification area, and then in the activity center, select More > Settings > Backup > Manage Backup. Now deselect the folder(s) you want to make local and then choose to stop protection (no more cloud cloning/syncing).
Also make sure to run the game as Administrator.
You can always re-enable OneDrive sync when you'll need, just keep in mind that the game might not save anything again.
