Can I EDIT HOMM V Maps?

Looking for the Map Editor.

I read somewhere it was in game folder in file, but I can't find.

Help please?

well i can't find it.
What I found...
C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\Heroes of Might and Magic 5
all my game apps installed from Steam have gone to that Steam/SteamApps folder, so I tried there, and sure enough... HOMM 5 is there. But that is just readme's, manuals, and registry files... no ops files or folder. no saved games, none of that.

Civ V, which I often played, also there, has same thing. However, it's Ops folder is located somewhere else...
C:\Users\Derek\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5
where I find all the game saved files, character profiles, map files, etc.

However, similarly... all I find for HOMM V there...
C:\Users\Derek\Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V
and I open that folder, only thing listed is Profiles. I open that, and there only 3 things there, 1 folder with a name a mile long that I can't even read what says, a .cfg file, and a .sav file.
I open the one folder, and it has Saves, Replays, an input.cfg file, a user.cfg file, and a Name file.

I can't seem to find any other source of HOMM V on my computer. Nothing relevant to H5_mapeditor.

Any suggestions??

Anyone else have any ideas how? Where I can find the Map editor? still unable to find it!

I'm still trying to figure this out... does ANYONE know where to find the map editor on my Co. How I can find it myself?

Update. I found, ON STEAM, in TOOLS, Map Editors ONLY to the Expansions! Not to HOMM V vanilla. Will HoF or ToE Editors work for map for HOMMV V original? Or should I start playing the expansions?

I havn't gotten to expansions yet, cause I wanted to play all the races on HOMM V before I went to the expansions, understanding that either expansion brings a new race. SO... with that said, still playing HOMM V no expansion, will the expansion map editors work for regular homm v maps?

I found it. But this may be a bit old now. Recently moving, I'm in an apt now, and still have no internet.
