Why does BGE2 require an always online connection?

God thats terrible. Heres hoping they pull a sim city and change that. I'm fine with drop in an drop out type stuff like what they did with Watch_Dogs (with the option to turn it off), but this is too much.

Didn't you hear??? Single player games are dead, so as they said above, all games have to be MP now to sell. Wish someone would let game developers know that it's ok to make SP games that are SP.

Because Ubisoft. I have hope they will understand and change it to the form of Monster Hunter World tho(offline lobbies). When players numbers drop they will probably do it as I'm sure it is just a matter of require or not. They could not require connection but they are ass about it.

Honestly this game does not look or feel like BGE, not like 2008 which seemed like true sequel and even has theis cartoonish disney style and fairy tale feel like original - new game just parazities on concepts of BGE2 but at is core its not BGE anymore, but a typical generic open world Ubi game with fetch taks and so many worlds to do those task that i feel people will be really borred, because ubi cant anymore feel their worlds with interesting tasks and content. Also whole realistic and mature style of game does not match with original game and looks disgustin. In not sure who they targeting with this pseudo BGE2, but totally not BGE1 fans... i wish BGE2 to be completely redone in cartoonish style, without mature bad language, with that fairy tale look and feel, with Jade as main character again and with direct continuation fo story where Paige was infected by DoomZ and became their new host as this supposed to be in 2008 version.

pseudoBGE2 we have now is major departure in about everything BGE1 was loved for. I think ill pass this one just like i pass almost all of Ubi games nowadays, i was waiting for it years but i just dont feel that this is BGE2 i was waiting for... in contrast to this, just look for example how Psychonauts 2 looks compare to 1, this totally feels like TRUE SEQUEL that has everything original was loved for... but BGE2 totally not!

The moment this stupid monkey said "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ chocolate" and pig continued "i want this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ to be ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ and ♥♥♥♥" - and some crappy rap song started to play i started to hate this game, because in totaly dont feel like BGE2 i was wating for! And this ugly realistic style... eeeewwwww


Ubi should learn from Double Fine how to make a proper sequel... but i dont hope that they will retcon this crappy sequel and will do a proper one.
