Is there anyway to still play coop? 2021

Just bought this for nostalgia with my buddy and we get a "failure to initialize connection to online network" code when we try to log in. Is there anyway we can play together besides LAN?

really? all this time i would come back to this from time to time for some terrorist hunt and here i am now finding out ya just decided to go and cut it off in 2021? y tho. im really not a fan of using 3rd party programs to connect through IPs or LANs and clouds or whatever tf, in fact i kinda hate it. idk it susses me out and they never work properly for me anyway its just annoying.

? why you make it sound like 3rd parties are difficult, it literally as simple as copy and paste the ip address it gives you to a friend thats it. That's no excuse.

dude, its literally install and press power On. if you have a phone, and download app Im pretty sure thats actually harder than Radmin VPN, at that point youre just being pure laziness.
I already had dozens from here and youtube using it and no complaints. Just you.

"ethernet cable is not connected" error when trying to join LAN game

my friend is having this error when trying to play online via LAN with hamachi, which works perfectly fine with my other friend. he is using US English region/language settings on his PC, so that isn't the issue despite what all the suggestions to fix it say. he is connected to the internet using an ethernet cable. vegas 2 isn't blocked by his firewall. he's tried verifying the files on steam as well. we're out of ideas to fix it. he's playing it on windows 10. has anybody else encountered this problem and found a solution? thanks.

Highly Recommend useing Radmin VPN.
Hamachi does some trickery that I never liked using plus for some people the setup is annoying.
3rd Parties are HIGHLY ADVISABLE to play COOP online simulating LAN.

I been playing Vegas since Before Rainbow Lockdown.
I think I started with Spearhead on the PS1.
This was the last Rainbow game, siege was a pile of ♥♥♥♥ no questions asks.
Sure this isnt the typical Rainbow game but it still had great, immersive, exciting gameplay.
Great A.I. Great FX, Decent Audio, great Levels, lot of FUN bugs that does not break the game like all modern games, Cough cough Clash.

Not going to lie Ubisoft needs to remaster Rainbow six Vegas 2 the game was it’s own nothing like siege and u guys took away from the actual company cause your games aren’t what they used to be growing up , as far as gameplay giving us that first and third person shooter in one …. So many fans would be on the game and no way to play with friends Ubisoft’s should deff trying to revive the game cause it’s doable

Idea.
Revive this game using VR controls and use the Oculus.
$399 VR entry, already established story, and do whay Half Life 2 VR did. It was amazing. Do Vegas 1 then do Vegas 2. It will be quick implementation after 1 is done. That way, you have a sufficiently playable game that won't have to worry about issues with creating something from the ground up. It is a fan favorite. Skips lots of development time. Get it on Steam VR . Establish Coop and Terrorist hunt. See how players respond. Add in the Multiplayer team deathmatch and see how it goes. Blam.
