Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Terrorist Hunt Modification WIP
The intention of this mod is to make the AI behave more realistically in terrorist hunt mode.

So far, I have all the AI spawn at the start of the round. That isn't anything new if you're familiar with editing ini files, but the problem with that is the AI just rush you where you spawn and you end up in a huge shootout where you spawn and that's it.

I made a modification that makes the AI hang back and use cover to fire on you. You have to explore the map and engage the enemy. It sparks some awesome fire fights. They don't rush you like fools. It's still a WIP, but I'll link to a video when I upload it to show how much different the experience is.

Also, I made it so corpses don't disappear.

Yup, it would be nice to have a link to try it, otherwise your mod just doesn't exist.

It's still a WIP. I'll link to the file you need to try it when it's finished. All it is a line in the PCKellerInput.ini that redefines some deep internal AI values.

If it's not "showable", then you shouldn't have created a topic about it in the first place! Next time, you should wait until it's decent enough for you to make it available.

Wow, I was just giving an advice (hence the use of "should").

People on the internet have a tendancy to get offended every time someone uses "next time" while giving an advice in the same sentence. They usually take it personal and reject what the person just suggested.

Whether it is your case or not, I'm sorry but it wasn't my intention to make you uncomfortable.

I'm workin' on recording a video of the current progress. I'll post a link to it in this thread. The only thing I need to tweak is their awareness because since they don't charge the player now, some of the enemies are sitting ducks.

All that stems from them spawning at the start. If I set the PlatformSpecificConfigPC.ini file to spawn the normal amount, which is 6, per wave, it works well.

are you doing this in the games x86 folder? if you can maybe make a tut on this, yeah cant wait to see the vid. always wanted the ai to be more realistic, you know if the devs just updated this game it would be great and probaly be more alive... look at cs go, that game has old graphics yet its alive bc of steam.. ha

I decompiled R6Game.u and checked out the files related to AI.

Here's a short example of the AI tweaks. This is without a PlatformSpecificConfigPC.ini present, so all the enemies do not spawn at the start of the hunt.
