Is there anyway to still play coop? 2021

Just bought this for nostalgia with my buddy and we get a "failure to initialize connection to online network" code when we try to log in. Is there anyway we can play together besides LAN?

I'm afraid that as of 2021, the official online servers for Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 have been officially discontinued.

Some members of the community have noted 3rd party connection methods, but this isn't something we can advise or assist on.

We just tried Game Ranger and cant get it to work. You can host, but the other person wont connect to the lobby nor find it in-game.

We still use ZeroTier and WinIPBroadcaster, they work like a charm when playing coop

Oh man what a disappointment. Me and my friends have been playing this game for years and it's always a joy. The end of an era. I wish Ubi would support their games better and at least allow for dedicated servers or hosting. This sucks...

This was the best coop game period. Fantastic game in a way that games such as Rainbow Six Siege can't even come close to. Sad news.

I knew the online for this game was shut down but I thought they brought it back a couple years back? I remember playing it with my friend a couple years ago and we didn't need a 3rd party program to play.

It doesnt matter anymore this was the only game people still got enjoyment out of. I have 405 hours on this game why!
