How do you save the game?
I haven't played in years and have no idea, this game's just so challenging x_x

It automatically saves the game periodically.

However, should you get to Game Over, you'll have to start from the beginning witha new Uplink account.

Alright thank you!

There's actually a nifty tool (the EXE is simply called UPlaunch.exe or something like that) that you can make manual backups of your save file. This is real useful in case you want to do something very risky and need a safeguard.

Pretty pointless to go looking for such a thing when you can just copy your user file. It's right in the game directory, under the folder "users", too...

I was pointing out a piece of software for those who don't want to do that.

One thing I never got about indie developers is this idiotic tendency to avoid save games. Nothing is as tedious as replaying the most boring early parts of a game. The halflife of a game gets extremely shortened by that approach.

That was part of the game's design. It was designed to be a immersive, yet, cheesy hacking experience.

Well, obviously it is part of the game design. Which just makes it more idiotic.

Just because you don't agree with a particular game design (It's an actual genre called 'rogue-like') doesn't make it idiotic. :U

It is not about my agreement, it is about the entirely pointless exercise in mindless repetition. Repeating mundane tasks like a trained monkey just isn't a compelling experience.

"Rogue-like" also is not a genre, as such flaws can be implemented in every kind of game. Although never to the advantage of the final product.
