Locks in LAN
After browsing and googling a whole lot I can't find the answer to this:
In a LAN, are all locks controlled by an authentication server? Or is there sometimes no other way to bypass the lock than to use lan_force on it?

There are often isolation bridges and authentication servers controlling the status of locks. However, I have run into situations where I ended up having to use LAN_Force, especially in "guardian locks" type systems, as illustrated in my guide below:

The first thing to do when approaching a lock is to run LAN_Scan if you have not already (reveals most major systems in the LAN), and probe around for a controlling Auth Server or Isolation Bridge. If you do not find either, only then do you run LAN_Force and disconnect and reconnect and keep going.

He Yukino, thanks for your answer. I've read your whole guide earlier this day, since I really didn't have a clue how to rummage around on LANs. My question was not explicitly answered in your guide, so after that I decided to post here :p
But I guess it'd due to the random nature of LANs that sometimes there's no room for grace, but only brute force ;)
