Fullscreen resolution problem

I don't know what's wrong. No matter what I do, I can't seem to fix this resolution problem I'm having. I'm on Windows 10 64-bit. Is there a fix I can use, or am I just stuck playing in windowed mode where I can barely read the text on my HDTV?

Note that the edges of the picture end in black boxes. I don't know if it's my TV, the game, my computer, or all three. All I know is that I want to play Uplink and I can't. Not until this is fixed, anyway.

I'm using a GTX 970, if that matters, and my resolution is at 1920x1080. Obviously, I can't lcick on any of the options with that viewing area. If I force it to go windowed with the launch option, I'm able to change the stuff. But then when I get back in, it goes back to that screen.

If I alt-tab, I either only get a portion of the screen or a relatively good one but the mouse cursor is only able to highlight a specific options if I move it a good couple of inches down and to the right, and I obviously can't use on anything below a certain threshold.

Please help me if you can. If It's hopeless, then I guess I'll have to give up playing it again.

You could try deleting the option file in your SteamApps\Common\Uplink\Users folder. Also try experimenting with different resolutions. If nothing else, you can still play the game in windowed mode.

Get UplinkOS. http://www.moddb.com/mods/uplink-os

UI overhaul mod (note that it has a separate .exe, so if you still want to launch it through Steam you'll have to add it to your library as a non-Steam game), works very nicely on the same 4k TV that Uplink itself was giving me similar trouble with.
