Hacking a Public Server?

I'm tracing another hacker for a client and have traced them as far as the global criminal database, but when I access the GCD logs I find that they bounced to there through a public server (Unitech I think, not that it should matter). I've used the log undeleter liberally to follow the trail so I know I've hit the right place... but... how can I hack a public access server? It only takes you to a listing of the company's executives and there is no apparant way to get admin access. Who has encountered this before and what have you done to successfully fix this?

You cannot hack a public access server. Maybe the hacker changed one of the logs...

I have run the highest level undelete tool on every relevant log in every server I've hacked, I actually ran it on every log that happened within the hour that the hack took place but no luck finding any changes. I'm stumped, am I tracking myself?

You cannot take on trace missions if you are the one who made the hack. I think you need to extend your search for undeleting. An agent making a hack can mask one of their log trace with one existing. If that still does not work, hopefully someone else will have an idea.

I figured it out, the hack actually happened before the time they gave me, it happened at 2:58 and the client said it happened at about 3PM. I solved it pretty quickly after that.
