What is Onlink?

Hello there! I've recently gotten back into this game, with both vanilla and Uplink OS. Over the past few days, i've done pretty much everything there is to do in the game. I've robbed banks, gotten Elite, gotten all the software and hardware upgrades, done all the LAN stuff, completed the story, you name it, i've done it. However a quick glance at the forums reveals a mod that seems to be harder, and adds quite a bit to the game known as "Onlink".

My question is this: What does Onlink change and add to Uplink? Anything i should be aware of when jumping ship to this mod? (Like the way logs work or something)

It changes lots, it's basically a whole other game, new security, new features, new mechanics. I would say it's a lot harder than the original game.

The best way to play it, for me at least, was to just start not knowing anything and figuring it out from there. Or if you don't mind being spoiled on some of the mechanics, you can watch a youtube series.

Yeah its def. a whole lot harder, i even think they been tweaking the tutorial to make you study the mechanics of the modded version slightly... lol :D hehe i betya its still being programmed as people play it!
