Trace a hacker missions HELP

Ok, so i'm having trouble with these missions. I had two hacks that occured on the same machine at the same time so i went to investigate and there it was, two established/closed connections at that time. I followed both, and after 1-2 hops i came across two "accessed file" (on different machines-we're probably talking about two hackers here).

So, since i had no other leads i decided to look who the files were accessed by (they were accesed at the exact time that the hack took place). One led me to an OCP remote monitoring system (?) which when you connect just gives back a weird text (like a motto or slogan?) that ends with "classified" and you can't do anything but disconnect - and the other one i haven't fully followed yet.

But i doubt i am doing it right. Are the logs modified ? The logs showing the "routed" to-and-fro stopped at those two machines (that only had the "accessed file" logs). Or did the hack occur FROM the actual company ? I thought i had to find an agent? Anyway, i hope i solve this it's giving me a headache

yes logs can be modified. you will most likely need to run a log undeleter at some point to find the correct IP to follow.

so you can get the true logs, even in modified ones, by undeleting them ? I didn't know that thanks !

presumably same should go for your own doctored logs :P except it doesnt it's only game :)

The OCP Remote Monitoring System is a secret. It's from Robocop. The Four Objectives. Basically just run Log Undeleter on EVERY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOG until you get it.
