How do we get milk? cattle gives only meat?
I played for two days, 8 hour sessions... I have two cattle pastures but no milk for my butter factory... do I need the corral?? Also with a large settlement I find it difficult to remember where all my factories are to keep them processing stuff. Also the resource menu shows too much of what I don't have and not the things I do... If I click on a warehouse or market I see stock of things I did not know I had... I wish this was better. Also I get the citizens are starving or freezing when really they are just cold and hungry and need to go home and warm up. I should not be told citizens are starving when we have over 10,000 food in storage.

With cows. You can get them via trade ships, you can even order them. They don't give leather however.
As for the resources menu, yes it's bad at the moment.
Do your people live near their work? It sounds like they have to travel too far. You can also improve your logistics with supply stations, they work wonders! The same with assigning more marketplace workers. And lastly a boiler room near work can provide a place to warm people, it prevents lots of travel.

YA, if they work and live to far apart then have to travel for everything. Warmer clothes will help with the freezing too, better/faster roads to ppl around quicker and upgrading the marker logistics to have home deliveries help keep homes stocked with goods. Also try a couple small stock piles for food only out near work places if they are to far from houese, at least ppl can grab food on the go. (Not actually sure if they can get food like that, i always have a pile of food out in the boonies and I never have ppl starving on me)

Also get a clinic up early, because injured ppl will move slower.... aiding in your starving problem.
