Seriously though same, i do get tired of male characters as a straight white male well... mostly white. It's gotten to the point where i actually don't play games with male characters, probably because i'm a male and if the male character isn't relatable i just hate the game, but if a play a female there is a disconnect meaning i can enjoy it even if the character doesn't make the choices i would.
also on average female voice actors > male voice actors.
The hair style options I've seen on characters in some screenshots seem awesome, seemingly including dreadlocks based on one screenshot.
Hopefully there will be options to choose body type separate from voice to help make it more inclusive, like Elden Ring does.
I did the same thing and It turns out I was transgender. Damn video games.

Interestingly, I think the opposite is happening. Most games today (mainly in the metroidvania department) seems to have female options only.
