I was feeling the same, I feel like it helps to incorporate some strength and go for a weapon that scales in both with the higher scaling in agility. Turns it into more of a quality build but I'm finally doing some damage with a long sword this way, couldn't get one handed axes to do much damage.

real, ive been using short swords and they do not do alot of damage

I've been doing OK so far. Can't compare it to other builds since it's the only one I've done so far. I've mainly just been leveling up agility and vitality so far. I forgot what level my character is, but. I just beat that big monster that's in that lake of blood.

Damage is crazy in this, especially with the mobs amd ranged enemies. Need lots of health.

point of agi builds attacking faster and giving you opportunity to dodge and run away you cant catch up the same damage vs str 2h weapons with 1 swing, 2h weapons while attacking takes more time before and after so you locked in action you pay price for bigger dmg

i was lv 40, with 25 agility, and a agility weapon lv 7 with B scale, i was doing about 130 per hit, normally 3 hits betwen a boss attack, so about 390 damage normally

i was concerned about the quantity of HP that the bosses have, even my weapon throws deals like 500 per each

so i change to str build... str lv 18 - weapon lv 4 ... 600 damage normally with the same time to dodge..............

Great on paper, but with the current enemy density, agility builds suffer extra hard. Doing less damage means it takes longer to dispose of enemies that tend to gang up on you. This is especially problematic in Umbral.

Fast, lower damage builds would work better if they tweaked the amount of enemies that come at you at any given time.

i was doing fine with my buckets halfway through the game, switched two dual daggers

The new patch notes mention that dual daggers are real good. That wasn't really my experience. Am I wrong?

I'm doing unarmored unarmed build. The fists scale evenly with strength, so you can do that. The dual wielding on fists attacks extremely fast and instantly dodge-able after attacking. I am doing just as much damage as all the other weapons. The only downside is the range needed to attack

I don't lock on with multiple enemies around and use dual short swords to hit them as a group. When one is isolated, I switch stance to two handed. Also, using a light attack to lead into your heavy attack works very well. Not only does it seem to charge the heavy attack faster, the initial hit stuns each one hit for just a moment and ensures your are the right distance. When in dual stance, the light to heavy attack tap rushes me forward further than repeated light attacks. So I am a harder target to hit for both melee and ranged enemies.

In the starting classes, the agility build does come with a warning it is for advanced play and is difficult to play. It should not be a surprise that it feels like it is a bad build because it is hard to play. It requires timing and knowing each enemies attack patterns, lots of stamina management and using the different stances and attack moves of the weapons. Not just light attack over and over, sometimes a heavy attack or parry attempt.

nah, knowing the pattern and how to parry is the normal for all the builds, agility here is just mathematically bad, any str weapon at the same level doing 3 times DPS is crazy

where is the twinblade damage here.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DlttsqJd08M&feature=youtu.be
Dual wield status effect swords worked quite well for me early on. Like, dual bleed swords did some work. Heard that dual wield wither is also good.

I chose ranger and have been stuck with an axe for my 13 hours of play. Have not seen any good "agility" weapons and maybe that's contributed to how difficult of a time I have been having?

yeah, i got to the same conclusion, the effects in this game seems very powerful, and there's no cd in between effects, something like playing with bow in any monster hunter
