The game keeps freezing during either the character creation or the following loading screen.
I am pretty sure the black mist in the background is the thing that keeps killing my GPU.
I have a geforce 2060, just below the recommanded, and no, i don't belong to the stupid group of people who expects every game to run at 4k, 900 fps and all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Instead, i reduce everything to the minimal, and it still doesn't run
Please, i beg of you, i am eagerly to play. Make the best patch possible so that we can all enjoy this! Don't let it be another Wo Long

50K people are playing the game... so.. probably not an issue with the game.

Game is doing shader compilation in menu. Just leave it running 10-15 minutes and it should solve itself.

Yep, Poor whining gamers who cant keep up with todays hardware. They are everywhere. For an Unreal 5 engine game the system reqs are surprisingly low. Yet people just want more. BUY yourself a Console and like it.

That is not how shader compilation works. If the game does not have a dedicated compilation on start up then the game only compiles the bare minimum shaders. The game will only compile shaders the moment they appear during gameplay, which means you would have to play the entire game with stuttering and restart to play without stuttering.

I havent had any problems. Game set default settings to max. Didnt change anything. I had updated all drivers before opening the game. Using 4080.

I have exactly the same problem, I cant even get to the menu because after first loading it stops responding..

Store page literally says minimum requirement is a GTX 1060, yet people with high-end graphic cards have issiues so it 100% isn't the peoples hardware that is the issue here.

I wish it worked, but sadly it doesnt. I cant get to the game menu because the game stops responding and then it crashes.

Just the sort of comment I would expect from those who have more money than they know what to do with, and can afford to buy new pc's, and upgrades every time something new comes out or whenever they feel like it, or can afford new consoles every time a new one comes out.

Restating the game and waiting for shadders solve the problem for me. I hope it solve for you as well

I was having the exact same issues at character creation screen. I ended up removing my overclock on my 4070 ti and the crashes stopped. Kind of strange as I have had this OC on my GPU for quite some time and it runs fine on all other games. UE5?

My i5-3600k is still OC to 5400mhz though. Hopefully you can figure it out as the game is fantastic but I am sure that won't matter if you can't get the performance issues resolved
