Should I play my 1st run with increased enemy density?
My first time playing and increased enemy density option attracted my attention
Is the game better at pre-nerf?

I'd say go without advanced settings for the first run. They're all mostly challenge mode stuff, the base game just isn't balanced for most of them.

Using the increased enemy density as an example: Stamina is the main problem. Killing loads of small fries isn't an issue, its the fact that you are constantly running out of stamina while fighting them (and have no breathing room), making it a tedious slog.

The one advanced setting I think is actually not a bad idea for a first run is the pre-upgraded loot- I suppose it does make the game easier and that might not be what you want, but finding a cool new weapon and being able to just use it without having to farm vigor/upgrade materials first is pretty nice.
