How is the game compared to remnant 2?
Sale ends in 25 hours and I still dont know I should buy it. It is a nice sale but 30 bucks is still too much to just waste it.
Im concerned about the performance. I also had big problems with simular games like Darktide and Remnant as well.
Im planning to play mostly with other people (rendoms) is it easy to find a match?
I know all these questions have been asked before and I probably have read it as well but i still need your opionion as most of you guys own the game and the new update.
So if you have something special to say I would like to hear it :)

Thx

Edit:

Just bought the game :)

The fact there's also spells appeals more to me. I wish this game had guns too as Im not that into melee combat anymore. I also like the fact that there are many weapons and choices in Lord of the Fallen.

Thanks for your reply :)

If youe liked the original Souls games like DS1-2, demon souls, more then modern souls game you will like this game.

Remnant 2 is a 3rd person shooter with very little souls elements, this game is a soulslike through and through and is one of the better of the genre imo. I like both but I prefer Lords of the Fallen, because I like the settings, armors, weapons, and gameplay more.

Haha, well it's also unreal 5 engine like remnant 2. Loft has its issues but still for me it's a really good souls game; a different flavor which may not be for all folks.

If you are looking for coop this title doesn't have traditional coop and we have to deal with forced pvp/invasions because since dawn of man some still use the club to drag back to their caves.

Even though we have many successful souls like with either opt out invasions / decent and fun coop as it should be loft is still stuck in caveman-club era because it's always been this way...

Just more sales lost in that regard.

thx guys.

If I would buy this game it would be probably my first souls like which appeals to me since there is more then melee and the different armors, weapons and even customized armor.

I know Remnant 2 is not really a souls like but the vibe is a bit simular which attracts me. The graphics in the game also really appeals to me. And above all, it has multiplayer which seems really nice to me. Try to avoid people irl but in games im very social lol.

I think Im just gonna buy this game. I think this is the chance since it will probably wont drop more then 50 percent in again this year.

Hello, I bought the game on sale and have about 16h in it now. The game is okay. Since it's your first souls game, I think you'll have a decent time for the most part; You haven't been spoiled by fromsoft games. Also, it's nothing like remnants 2. I'd know because I actively play that game. Hopefully this helps!

I don't really agree with your "elden ring with guns" description lol.

I have played Remnant 1 and 2 and enjoy both but when your shooting things from yards away vs going face to face with them with melee weapons the feel of the game completely changes.

I do agree those games have light soul-like elements but they are 3rd person shooters through and through, with decent gear and build potential of a average souls games.

Once again their great games but I play them for different reasons then I play more traditional souls games.

In remnant 2, your coop partner gets the same XP, items, loot and can interact with the NPCs and the world which is super fun for both parties.

i dont have LOTF yet, but based on the research here and Reddit the xp is not shared equally . the host gets full XP with the potential of losing it if they die twice just like any other souls game on the other hand, even tho the joiner gets less XP, if they die they wont loss their earned XP.

im not hating on the game and pretty sure ill get it eventually to play solo, i was just hoping for some Remnant like coop.

It is a weird choice indeed. I believe the guest gets around 30 percent. Not really stimulating for people to join you. Because as I said earlier, I like the coop aspect of the game as well. Just like Remnant you can play this alone or with others which sounds fun.

Are you forced into coop in Remnant 1 or 2? Is it a dark setting?

No you can play offline, friends only or public. Then people can join you or you can choose to join people who are visible in the 'lobby' You can also random join someone's game.
Flyx May 5, 2024 @ 1:58pm
If you play co-op, you aren't forced to participate in PvP.

Not forced to pvp, Can play offline and only log in for boss fight summons if need them. Nothing is forced if you don't want to do it. You do miss out on that portion but regardless, Offline is 100% playable and you can still pluck eyeballs offline. So. Not forced.

I play mostly soulslike and metroidvania games. I have 170+ hours in Remnant 2 and 80+ hours in this game. I think that will give you some ideas.
Judy Gemstone May 6, 2024 @ 1:57am
It doesn't compare.

This game took broad strokes from Elden Ring and Sekiro.

Remnant 2 is just a third person shooter with stamina.
